The Citadel of Self-Dependency

What a mighty Fortress we all build to hide behind. This fortified wall is so big. We threatened little children, tremble in fear behind it, while we all stay there in hope. Yet God‘s mercy is stronger still. No wall is too big for him, for the Day of the Lord, comes as a thief in the night to rescue us from those inner walls. Our champion, the  Lord Jesus, fills up our holes of insecurity and heals are painful scars of shame with the magnificence of His presence.
